Real-time operation for defocusing virtual objects
Focusing and lighting effects play an important role in a filmmaking.
It is also important to represent lens blur for effective scenes. We have developed a defocus operation in MR-PreViz system.
This makes it possible to show us how the effects of defocused virtual objects are in real-time.
In our method, the amount of defocus is computed from blur size and information obtained from a lens encoder.
It generates proper blur for virtual objects same as real ones. Hence, Gaussian blur filter is used for a real-time processing.
